Stubs Privacy Policy
Last updated: [DATE]
Stubs helps you keep the tickets you own, remember the events you attend, and discover what's coming up next. We built it to need as little of your personal information as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account: if you sign in with Apple, we receive an email address (which may be Apple's private relay). That's the only account identifier we require.
- Your content: the tickets, watchlist, followed teams, visits, notes, and photos you add.
- Location: only if you allow it. "While using" location shows events and venues near you in Discover; "Always" location (separate, opt-in) notices when you arrive at a venue you're tracking. We do not record where you go the rest of the time. Fence and proximity checking happen on your device; we store only the visits you keep and, for Discover, only the venue ids nearby — never a raw coordinate trail.
- Device token: to send the notifications you turn on.
- Usage analytics: pseudonymous events about how features are used, to improve the app.
What we do with it
We use your information to provide the app's features, send alerts you've enabled, and improve Stubs. That's it.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't use advertising identifiers.
- We don't record your continuous location.
When you buy or sell
Stubs isn't a ticket marketplace. When you tap to buy or sell, we send you to a ticket site and may earn a commission. We pass along referral information for that link — never your Stubs account details.
Who we share with
Only the service providers we need to run Stubs: Amazon Web Services (hosting), Apple (sign-in and notifications), the ticket marketplaces you choose to visit, and a privacy-respecting analytics provider. We don't share your data with anyone else.
Your choices
- Turn location, notifications, camera, and photo access on or off in iOS Settings at any time.
- Edit or delete any ticket, visit, or photo in the app.
- Delete your account in Settings — this removes your personal data (see "How long we keep it").
- Ask us to export your passport and locker.
How long we keep it
We keep your content while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated statistics that can't identify you may remain. Market price data isn't personal and is retained (this pipeline is currently dormant).
Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, store secrets securely, and limit internal access.
Children
Stubs isn't directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We'll post changes here and update the date above.
